Welcome to the St.Finians GAA web site. In our new web site you will find lots of information on all activities taking place in the club, team news, fundraising and social events, coaching information, results, lotto updates, links to other site and more.
This site is another step in the continued development of St. Finian’s and adds a new dimension and information source for members and visitors alike. As with all web sites, it will only be as good as the information put up, and that is where we would encourage all our members to actively participate in supplying a continuous flow of information to the club PRO so that we can keep everybody updated on news and events within the club.
Founded as a small parish club back in 1983, our numbers have grown steadily and we are now fielding more teams each week than ever before at Football, Hurling, & Camogie. We would expect that the club will continue to grow over the coming years as the growth and development in the South side of Swords brings new people from all cultures into our area.
As a club we are committed to providing the highest level of training and coaching to both players and team mentors, and this is reflected in the quality of the teams fielded each week and the levels at which we compete. The growth at underage level in the numbers of boys and girls playing football, camogie and hurling is extremely encouraging and bodes well for the future of St. Finian’s.
This continued development and success of teams at all levels in the club is a credit to all our members who give up their time each week, both on and off the field, to ensure the smooth running of St.Finian’s GAA club. To continue this success, however, we need more and more of our members to be actively involved as the demands of running an ever expanding and successful club increase each year.
We would welcome your support and assistance whether it be on or off the pitch as there is always work to be done within the club, and the help of both experienced members and new arrivals would be much appreciated.
I hope you get some benefit from the website and with your future assistance I look forward to the continued growth, development, and success of this great club
