Club Notes 8th April 2018

The week’s rainfall resulted in all home and most away fixtures being called off. River Valley & Ridgewood pitches remain unplayable for matches and training until Friday 13th April at the earliest. The Pitches and Fixtures co-ordinator will endeavour to accommodate teams in Coláiste Choilm where appropriate.

Well done to the Thomas Ashe Minor Football team who had a great win in their Division 3 clash with Naomh Barróg in St Margarets making it 3 wins from 3 games in an excellent start to the season.

St Finians Under 14 Hurling Team will be hosting the 2018 Hurling Féile on Saturday 21st April for their group in River Valley. Both pitches will be used from 10am until 6pm that day.

Football Championship action next weekend. The AFL4 Team are at home to Ballyboughal in the Intermediate Football Championship Group One at 6pm on Saturday 14th April while the AFL8 team are away to St Peregrines in the Junior 3 Football All County Championship on Sunday 15th April at 3pm. The Adult Camogie Team are away to Whitehall Colmcille in the Senior 7 League North on Tuesday 10th April at 6:45pm. All support welcome and appreciated for the Adult Football & Camogie Teams.

The Nursery & Academy sponsored by Sky Handling Partner will resume at the usual times 10am & 11:30am respectively on Saturday 14th April after the Easter break.

A big thank you to all the coaches and helpers who assisted in the smooth running of the Easter Camp, led by GPO Paul Lyons with over 200 children taking part.

There are Yoga classes taking place in the Clubhouse Activity Room every Thursday evening. For further details, please contact Jacquie at 087 786 8363.

Club Lotto - The club lotto jackpot on the 6th April was €2600 and the numbers drawn were 6, 10, 12, 28. There was no winner. Lucky Dip Winners of €40 were Emer Harmon, Tom Maguire, Ger Clarke c/o J O’Reilly, Aaron Caul. Next week’s jackpot is €2700.

The club bingo takes place this and every Friday upstairs in Peacocks at 8.30pm. The jackpot is €500!

The Coffee Shop will reopen on Saturday 14th April after the Easter break. All are welcome for a cuppa and a chat.
