Club Notes 9th September 2018

September 09, 2018

A huge congratulations to the Adult Camogie team who were crowned Division 7 league champions last week with other fixtures in the league going their way. St Brigids needed a win on Wednesday evening to claim the league but could only manage a draw with the girls clinching the league. Huge credit to Mick Lawton and Eamon Morris on this great achievement with the girls!

Well done also to the Adult Hurling team who beat Ballinteer St Johns in the Championship on Saturday evening in Ridgewood to qualify for the Quarter Final, with strong defensive play from Jarlath O’Loughlin, David Hattie & Colm MacBradaigh which set the tone for the win.

Congratulations to the Dublin Premier Junior Camogie Team on beating Kerry in the All Ireland Junior Camogie Final on Sunday in Croke Park and to our own Ciara Buchanan from the Adult Camogie Team who is an ever present member of the Dublin panel for a number of seasons now.

St Finians GAA Club are looking to set up a rota among its members, parents & supporters to assist with the selling of Club lotto tickets on Friday evenings and to also help with the draw which now takes place on Sunday evenings, and which would take around 90 minutes to complete each evening. The Club Lotto is a vital source of funding in the running of the club, for the purchase of equipment and other day to day expenditure. Many hands make light work, so the more volunteers who are available, the less frequent that they will be required on the rota. If you can spare 90 minutes, not more than once a month to assist either on a Friday or Sunday evening, please contact Club Treasurer Shay Collins 0863556833. You can play St Finians Lotto online

Fhionns afterschool & Breakfast club operates in the Clubhouse Activity room daily on Monday to Friday. For further details, please contact Sheila Thomas at 087 412 2465.
