The Juvenile Section of the Club is primarily about the provision of active sports for children where they can play Gaelic games in a competitive and enjoyable atmosphere.
The juvenile section is currently made up of a nurseries group which caters for children aged from 6 years to 8 years of age. We then have teams competing at under8, under 9, under 10, under 11, under 13, and under 15 at football. We also have teams competing in hurling from under 8 to under 15 years.
2004 has been a busy and successful year for the juveniles with medals for our U15 Football, U13 Hurling, U13 Football, U11 Football.

In 2004 we hosted four summer projects:-

    1. Leinster GAA Hurling Camp.
    2. Leinster GAA Football Camp
    3. St. Finian's Multi-Activity Camp.
    4. Mini/Street Leagues.

All three camps were very well attended with over 200 children attending all three camps. In relation to our own camp, the children were given St. Finian's boot bags along with St. Finian's t-shirts. Pictures of the children attending the camps were published in two editions of the Fingal Independent. The mini/street leagues were also well attended with the children receiving medals at the end. This year we hope to host a number of similar events.

The Juvenile Section tries to promote a family atmosphere holding open days , blitzs and feiles throughout the year encouraging all parents to attend and supplying light refreshments. The Juvenile Section also maintains strong links with our national and secondary schools. Our GPO (Games Promotion Officer) attends our national school on a weekly basis encouraging the link between St. Finian's and the school. St. Finian's have this year sponsored a set of jerseys for Colaiste Choilm, Secondary School, where a good proportion of our senior juveniles attend.

Anyone interested in joining St. Finian's please contact the club (see our contacts page) or come down to the Community Centre at training times.
