Dear St. Finians Member,

The Executive Committee have decided to provide a space on the website for members who would like to advertise their skills. The listing will be similar to that in the Swords Trade Directory which is published annually by the Brackenstown Scouts.  If interested please forward your details including a suitable category to info@stfinians.com.  It is hoped that this will prove be a useful resource for those advertising and others within the club requiring a particular service. If you haven't done so yet, pay a visit to the club website at www.stfinians.com.  The site is regularly updated with the latest club news and images.

ST.FINIAN'S GAA CLUB NOTES 27/03/11

The Adult Footballers lost out to Whitehall & Bank of Ireland respectively at the weekend. The Intermediate Football team have a Cup Match on Thursday evening against St.Margarets in St.Margarets. Throw-In is at 7.30.

A very enjoyable ‘Wine & Cheese Night' took place in the Clubhouse on Saturday evening. It was great to see so many new faces in the club. Once again many thanks to the highly active and innovative ‘Events Committee' for all their hard work. Check out the website www.stfinians.com in the Events Section of the Photo Gallery for some shots from event.

The American Tea Party is a big hit every year and is a great way for the newer members to meet up and get to know other parents and some of the older members. It's coming up soon on Saturday 16th April. Above all it's a social night and only costs €10. We hope that every team will host a table and that parents will come along with their favourite dish.

The DVD recording of the fashion show is available to buy for €10 from the Club Shop. Please send an email to donalohagan@ireland.com if you would like to book a copy.

The Saturday morning coffee shop is open again. It's a great place to meet people and there is always a selection of homemade buns and cakes available.

ST FINIANS CLUB NOTES 04/04/2011

April 04, 2011

The Intermediate footballers had a good win at St.Margaret's in the cup in midweek. There were excellent performances from some of the younger players in particular. The Adult Hurlers match did not take place on Sunday morning and the Minor Footballers had a good win in a cracking match against Fingal Ravens.

Special General Meeting to be held on Thursday 7th April 2011 at 9.30pm in the clubhouse.

Gaelic4Mothers continues every Thursday night in the Community Centre at 9 o'clock.

New members welcome. Come along and learn the skills of the game, get fit and meet new friends.

Check your garage and attic - A collection of equipment will take place on Saturday 9th April. Mentors are asked to bring equipment they no longer need or have grown out of, back to the clubhouse to be re-distributed. This initiative has already brought valuable ‘forgotten' equipment back into use. This particularly applies to former mentors and underage teams moving through the Go-games levels. Have you any old Hurley's that you have grown out of for example. We can use them. Footballs, bottles, cones, anything.....we can re-use them. Clearing out your shed or attic.......check that dark corner.

Our Tea Party is taking place in the Community Centre on 16th April. This is always a great social occasion with great food and a disco to follow. Join up with a few friends and host a table. The idea behind the tea party is that food is shared at the table. Each person brings part of the meal e.g. starter. Main course or dessert. Some of our teams have parents who have come from abroad. Why not cook your national dish and bring it along? Above all it's a social night and only costs €10. We hope that every team will host a table, particularly the parents of the underage teams. Further enquiries available from club office.

Easter is fast approaching and that means camps. The kids love them and they are great for skills improvement. Booking your place early really helps those planning the camps so register early if possible but come on the day in any case.

The Coffee shop is now open on Thursday mornings at 10.30. It's still open on Saturday as usual. Drop in.

Jimmy Desay is the new Caretaker in the Clubhouse and this will really help in the day to day running of the Clubhouse. Say hello to Jimmy the next time you are in.

The Club Lotto numbers for 03/04/11were 1,4,13,16. There was no winner of the jackpot worth €3,700. The €50 winners were John Murtagh and Anne Murphy. Next week the Jackpot will be €3,900.

ST FINIANS CLUB NOTES 12/12/2011

December 12, 2011

The St. Finian's Christmas Fair was a great success, plenty of people dropped in to say hello, have a cup of coffee, browse and buy some of the products on sale. Santa made an appearance and was dropped to the Clubhouse by our good friends An Garda Síochána. Santa was assisted by our very own Alison Halpin and Grace Murray who helped him distribute goody bags to all the children who visited him. The Christmas Cake was won by one of the stallholders who got involved in supporting our Club on the day. Many thanks to all who gave, visited and bought on the day. Photos of those that met Santa are available on our website in the Events Gallery. www.StFinians.com Events Gallery.

Tickets (€10 each) are on sale for our Bumper Christmas Draw with €1,000 first prize. They are available from the club office or any committee members.
