Adult Rounders

St Finians Adult Rounders was formed in 2020 and has grown tremendously in that short time to 2 fantastic teams. An Adult Ladies Rounders team and An Adult Mixed Rounder team. 

All adults are welcome to join and take  part in this fun, social , non contact sport . No experience required!

GAA Rounders News 2022

GAA Rounders held a 2022 season launch event in Abbotstown on Sunday 27th March and teams from all over Ireland were represented in photo-calls for the 8 championships that were set to commence in April. 

For Intermediate Ladies, Ashling O’Regan represented St Finians and for the Junior mixed , Shane McQullian did. Thanks as always to the Rounders team jersey sponsor Fhionns Afterschool. 

The adult mixed team had their first Junior All Ireland championship group game of the season and took 5 points with a 24-12 win over Dublin Mets. 

It was a great performance and a strong start to the season. Joint top scorers were Martin & Helen with 4 runs each. Some brilliant catches & fielding by the team with POTM being Helen for both new team coach Bart & the referee. 

New players of all abilities always welcome. They  now look ahead to the 1st ladies game of the season next Sunday 15th May away to Skryne and the second mixed on 29th May v Fenagh.
